I talked to my mom this morning — my parents are both crazy Republicans, so they were in mourning this morning. She also mentioned that we are getting a family picture taken this weekend since my sister, my brother-in-law and my nephew are in town from Florida. This is an actual conversation.

Mom: We need to pick a color scheme for our clothes for the picture…
Me: Why?
Mom: I talked to some photographers at the company and they said it would be better if we are all dressed in the same color palette.
Me: OK… I guess… What’s the palette?
Mom: Red. I’m thinking everyone should wear a red shirt and khaki pants.
Me: So, you want us all to dress like we work at Target?
